Rather than focusing on overall weight loss, body contouring targets specific concerns like loose skin, small pockets of stubborn fat, cellulite, and crepey texture, areas that often do not respond to diet and exercise alone.

Fat Dissolving Injections, sometimes called lipolysis or non-invasive liquid lipo, use a specialized formulation of deoxycholic acid to permanently break down small, stubborn fat pockets in targeted areas of the body. Once injected, the deoxycholic acid disrupts the cell membrane of the fat cells, and over the following weeks, your body naturally metabolizes and eliminates the fat.

No. Body contouring is not a weight loss treatment. It is designed to refine the shape of specific areas, address loose skin, and reduce small, stubborn fat pockets in patients who are at or near a healthy weight. Patients pursuing significant weight loss are typically encouraged to do so first, then explore body contouring to address areas that remain after the weight loss.

Which body contouring treatment is right for me?

It depends on what you are trying to address. Exion Body is best for skin tightening, smoothing texture, and refining contours. Fat Dissolving Injections are best for permanently reducing small, stubborn fat pockets in specific areas. Many patients benefit from a combination, and our team will recommend what fits best.

Are body contouring results permanent?

Fat Dissolving Injections permanently destroy fat cells in the treated area, so the results in that area are long-lasting as long as you maintain a stable weight. Exion Body results build over time and can be maintained with periodic touch-up sessions and a healthy lifestyle. Significant weight gain after either treatment can affect your results.

Are there any side effects or downtime?

Exion Body has no downtime. Fat Dissolving Injections typically involve mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising in the treated area for several days. Your provider at BB Beauty Lounge will review any expected effects before treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

Most body contouring treatments deliver the best results in a series of sessions. Exion Body protocols typically include multiple sessions spaced a few weeks apart, while Fat Dissolving Injections often require 3 to 4 sessions per area, spaced about 4 weeks apart. Our experts will recommend a specific protocol based on your goals.
